Overview;

Janua is a large city, harboring a population of about half a million as of three years ago. Its current size is currently unknown since it's not really important enough to hit the news. It's not necessarily a peaceful town, but there are enough crimes to take hold of a majority of the news. Recently, though, the crime rate has dramatically increased, especially murders and suicides. According to the police and local government, most of the murderers seem to be suffering from some sort of drug induced psychosis. They have found no drugs in the systems of the victims, however, but they claim it to be a new drug that the system doesn't recognize. Even for psychotic drug trips, though, these murders have been quite...unusual. Though most of the details have been kept off of the news, local hackers and moles have been leaking information out, reporting the things that the news won't. Things like demonic messages drawn on walls, floors, or ceilings in blood, people screaming or chanting in an unknown language, and going on about a "revolution" and how "The gods are missing".

Downtown;

Many big businesses and banks have some sort of administrative building here and there are all sorts of high-end shops, restaurants, theaters, and more located here. There are very few residential buildings in the area, though, but there are some, and they tend to be overpriced apartments or condos.

Downtown is quite a busy part of town. During the day, much of the city flocks here, seeing as this is where most of the stores and such are located, and those who can, walk here. The traffic is terrible, you see, especially since most of the streets are only two lanes (one going each way). Pedestrian traffic isn't much better, but it does move faster.
